Preparation Instructions:
I would like to send out a thank you to Brad of Louisville Kentucky for submitting this wonderful traditional mai tai cocktail recipe. To get started, take out a large chilled highball drink glass. Add into the glass the pineapple juice, creme de almond liqueur, triple sec liqueur, light rum, dark rum, sweet and sour mix, and crushed ice. Leave the drink unstirred. Lastly, wrap the chilled glass with a fabric napkin, and sip it slowly through a drink straw. The traditional mai tai shouldn't be stirred, however you can mix up the drink if you prefer it's flavors blended together. You obviously don't have to use the exact brand of ingredients that we have chosen, alternative brands will work fine as well. Keep in mind that this is a very strong cocktail, so be sure to have a designated driver, as just one mai tai will raise your alcohol level over the legal limit within the United States.
